Janie greville

Janie Greville is a poet, artist, and educator whose life story is marked by both creative passion and personal trials. Born in 1957 in Hertfordshire, Greville’s journey has been one of resilience, creativity, and rediscovery. With a background in fine art and art history, she taught art and lectured for the Open University before shifting her focus to poetry and creative writing.

Her work reflects the intricacies of the human experience, touching on themes of motherhood, identity, mental health, and the search for meaning in times of crisis. Her poetry, often deeply personal, explores the tension between light and darkness, beauty and struggle, offering a candid portrayal of emotional growth and healing. Through The Magician’s Broken Nose and Other Poems, Greville reclaims her voice and shares her most intimate reflections, hoping to connect with readers through shared experiences and universal truths. When not writing, Greville lives in Worcestershire, where she continues to explore the intersection of art and healing in her personal and professional life.
